THE organisers of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards has officially announced South Africa media personality, Bonang Matheba, as co-host of the award show with IK Osakioduwa.
The AMVCA ceremony which started in 2013 in Lagos State is an annual accolade presented by MultiChoice for recognizing outstanding achievement in television and film.
Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels, MultiChoice Nigeria, Busola Tejumola confirmed the host and the co host ahead of the eight edition saying
“We are excited to have Bonang join IK as co-host for the eighth edition of the AMVCAs.
“They are both extremely talented and have attained continental acclaim, having hosted some of Africa’s biggest shows. Together, they will keep the crowd entertained on the biggest night to celebrate African film and TV stars.”
This will be Matheba's first time has a host on the AMVCA stage as she takes over from Minnie Dlamini who cohosted the show from 2016 until 2018. An eight-day event leading to the awards' gala night will begin on May 7.
