IN a positively surprising turn of events, renowned Fuji musicians, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma and King Saheed Osupa, have ended their longstanding rivalry and rekindled their friendship as Osupa finally visited Pasuma after many years of conflict.
The two artists, who had been involved in bitter conflicts that sometimes escalated into fan wars, have now come together in a display of unity.
Osupa took to his Instagram page to share the news of his recent visit to Pasuma’s home in Lagos, in a video that showed the two musicians embracing, surrounded by their supporters, and celebrating their reconciliation.
He wrote: “Let’s play on; If music is the food of love”…I spent a very special moment with my old friend, brother, and colleague @officialpasuma at his Omole residence, today.
“And also to commiserate with him on the demise of his late mum while I was away. May God continue to be with you, Iba Wasi. #FUMAN… UNITY!”
During the visit, Osupa expressed his condolences to Pasuma over the demise of his mum, and the two artists addressed their fans, emphasising that they have moved past their differences.
Pasuma then hinted at a collaboration between the two, signalling a bright future for their renewed friendship.
