THE Chairperson, Alimosho Local Government, Alhaja Kabirat Sulaimon, led Alimosho women to the successful Year 2021 Women Assembly Forum held at Blue roof, Lagos Television broadcasting complex, Ikeja.
The yearly programme organised by the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) is aimed at creating a platform that affords the ministry to cascade policies and programmes from the international, federal, state, to the grassroots, as well as serve as a feedback mechanism to assist the ministry.
This year's edition, which was used to address the women welfare and management of gender-based violence, also featured medical screening on HIV, breast and cervical cancer among others.
The chairperson was accompanied by the female councillors in Alimosho Local Government, Hon Mojisola Ayeni and Hon Funmilayo Fashina, the Head of Department, WAPA, the APC Party women leaders, and other notable women.
