United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in collaboration with the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria (IHV Nigeria), Society for Family Health (SFH) and Equitable Health Access Initiative (EHAI), in continuation of the TB LON – 3 project have brought the tuberculosis screening to Alimosho, using the Baale of Orita Akinogun Palace, Egbeda.

The Tuberculosis Local Organisations Network 3 (TB LON – 3) is a five-year project funded by USAID, currently implemented in Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, and Osun States.

The project will be working through CSO partners on community case finding of Drug-Susceptible and Drug-Resistant TB cases and linking them to DOTs/TB treatment sites. The project aims to identify presumptive TB cases evaluated for TB and to ensure that they undergo needed treatment.

In a social media post by EHAI Nigeria, symptoms of tuberculosis were identified as: "More than two weeks of coughing, unintentional weight loss, night sweats, fatigue and fever."

They further told people with any of the symptoms above to anticipate the screening in a community near them.
