OKUN Alimosho, a devoted community development organisation and based in Alimosho and AlimoshoToday.com have both settled on a partnership agreement to promote culture and local entertainment in Alimosho.

The partnership was officially sealed when the Okun Alimosho team, led by Mr Adeola, made an official visit to AlimoshoToday.com team in Egbeda, Lagos and were warmly received by the publisher, Dupe Akinola.

The partnership is expected to promote indigenous culture in the Alimosho communities, provide entertainment for community benefit, and emphasize the richness of the African continent’s culture standing among her peers.

The agreement also has among its considerations to jointly provide rich local entertainment contents for the community and delivered through AlimoshoToday website.

Mr Adeola, Founder of Okun Alimosho, in his speech made reference to the Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs Uzamat Akinbile-Yussuf, who is a supporter of the Okun Alimosho mission saying, “In a theocratic setting, the Commissioner is seen as the chief of all musicians, artistes, theatre actors, artists in Lagos as a whole and must be revered as such.

“That is why we must pay homage to her also considering her unflinching support to the goals of Okun Alimosho, beyond partisan politics”.

Adding to that, Mr Dupe Akinola said, “Alimosho has the potential to be in the limelight and a thorough push on local entertainment, young talents within, corporate sponsorship can make that happen. This may well be the beginning of that fact.”

To prove the points, Okun Alimosho already has a line of upcoming events tied around its Alimosho Festival, 2021 kicking off at the end of the year.
