The approval by the School of Communication was officially announced by HOD, Journalism Department, Dr Jide Jimoh recently.
Mr Dupe Akinola, the Publisher of AlimoshoToday.com, who visited the institution on Monday to conclude arrangements, met with some of the students and assured them that the internship programme will practically prepare them for a career in journalism.
"AlimoshoToday.com is a member of a global media network with headquarters in Ontario, Canada. Giving the opportunity to serve as interns with us will not only expose the students to professional news reporting, it will also introduce them to community journalism in the digital era", he said.
According to Mr Dupe Akinola, the internship programme will last for six months after which the students are given a Certificate of Participation.
AlimoshoToday.com is an online news site dedicated to Alimosho LG and five LCDAs.
