The Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja at the weekend detained Alhaji Ayinde Ejigbadero and Prince Idris Balogun for their alleged roles in the invasion of Alimosho Local Government and Egbe-Idimu LCDA Secretariats, respectively.

It was reported that they were charged for threat to life, assault, vandalisation of public property and breach of public peace on Friday.

AlimoshoToday had earlier reported that Ejigbadero lastThursday afternoon led some groups to disrupt activities at Alimosho Local Government during working hours.

Prince Idris Balogun also reportedly led a group of youths to create chaos at Egbe Idimu LCDA Secretariat while the chairman was having a stakeholders meeting on Thursday morning

Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu said, "the civil aspect of the matter is what concerns the police". He said Oluomo has no right to stop an Executive Chairman's meeting, even if there was an instruction, he does not have an enforcement order.

Speaking with AlimoshoToday on his detention, Prince Balogun said that he was not detained by the police, but was merely called in for questioning.

According to him, he was released on the following day.
