AS a means to extend the relationship between the Alimosho Local Government Area and the Cuban Government, the Executive Chairman of the LGA, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon, has visited Sumertech, a leading Medical Equipment Company based in Cuba, which once donated medical equipment to the Local Government health centres in 2020.
Information reaching Alimoshotoday states that the visit, which also includes a two-week training session for the medical team that attended with the Council Boss, will be used to understand the healthcare system operation in Cuba, benefit from the medical technology used in Cuba, and partner with the Government on knowledge-based exchange programme.
Conversely, the training will be based on the following areas: laboratory equipment for infectious disease, rapid kit for fast diagnoses, Point of Care test [POC] for community clinics, and Molecular biology (DNA).
