THE Executive Chairman of Alimosho LGA, Hon. Jelili Adewale Sulaimon on Thursday, November 3, 2022, received the councillors elected in the year 20228 under the aegis of the Councillors Forum in his office at the Alimosho LGA secretariat.
Information reaching Alimoshotoday states that the meeting is an extension of the earlier meeting of the Forum with the APC candidate for the Federal House of Representatives election in 2023, Hon. Ganiyu Adele Ayuba (Mayor KK), held sometimes in September 2022.
At the earlier meeting which, coincidentally had Jelili in attendance, the Forum proposed that, as a means of ensuring the regularity of the Forum's meetings as requested by the Chairman, the forum should be granted an opportunity to use the council Secretariat.
In his response to the request at the meeting, Jelili promised not to only grant the use of the secretariat but to also host them.
In the meeting held on Thursday, the forum pledged their loyalty to the council Boss, they, however, requested, in return, that they should be included in all activities of the Federal Constituency, beginning with the 2023 electioneering campaign and other activities that will give them due recognition.
Jelili, on his part, assured the Forum of an absolute inclusion in the 2023 campaign stating that their experience will be highly required.
He then added that the Forum members should also use their experience to join in the reconciliation process going on in the Alimosho Federal Constituency.
"Leaders know how to meet and get their matters resolved. Don't add to the problem. Contribute to the solution," he admonished the group.
