Jelili presents 2023 Appropriation Bill to Alimosho Legislative House

THE Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government Area, Hon. Jelili Adewale Sulaimon has presented the 2023 Appropriation Bill (proposed budget) to the Alimosho Local Government Legislative House under the leadership of the Leader of the House, Hon. Ahmed Obadina.

The budget, titled ‘Budget of Sustainable Development & Fiscal Discipline’ was, according to the Executive Chairman, a budget proposal that will serve as an extension to the 2022 budget in terms of the continuation of the infrastructural development experienced in the year 2022.

He said, "The 2022 Budget of Reality remains a realistic budget following the successes recorded in the area of infrastructural development as contained in the budget. So far, almost all proposed constructions and developments have been actualised.

"The construction and completion of Adebanjo Street, Miccom Street, Olohungbebe Health Centre, and the brand new two-storey secretariat building, as well the ongoing constructions of Fakoya Street, Santos Layout, and Azeez Ayorinde Street, among others were among the infrastructural developments delivered by the 2022 budget.

"The 2023 proposed budget, when passed into law, is expected to serve as an extension to the 2022 budget so that the development will continue without any distraction or deviation.

"With the 2023 budget proposal for sustainable development which stood at Two Billion, Five Hundred and Ninety-six Million, Five thousand, Two Hundred and Seventy-six naira (#2,596,005,276.08), the ongoing constructions will be completed and new ones as proposed by the 2023 budget stakeholders forum will be put into consideration.”

He then concluded that the support of the residents will be highly required in terms of payment of levies and dues for the development to continue unabated.
