THE Alimosho Local Government Area, under the authority of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Jelili Adewale Sulaimon, in collaboration with the International Islamic Relief Organisation, has organised free eye screening and cataract surgery for the residents of the council area.
Information made available for publication states that the screening is scheduled to start on Saturday, January 21, 2023, and end on Monday, January 23, 2023, while the surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, January 24, 2023, and Saturday, January 29, 2023, at the council secretariat, Akowonjo.
Residents that can benefit from this scheme include those with clouded, blurred, or dim vision, increasing difficulty with vision at night, sensitivity to light and glare, need for brighter light for reading and other activities, frequent changes in eyeglass or contact lens prescription, and other eye-related issues.
