Jelili holds consultative Stakeholders meeting for 2023 budget

AHEAD of the 2023 budget planning, the Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government Area, Hon. Jelili Adewale Sulaimon has invited critical stakeholders to a consultative meeting in a bid to identify the needs of the residents and consequently know the direction resources will be channelled in the year 2023.

During the event held on Monday, December 5, 2022, at the local government secretariat, the council Mayor said, "One good way to ensure that all stakeholders are carried along in our planning is to put this stakeholder’s forum in place before planning the budget.

"People-centred budget can only be achieved when every stakeholder makes their own contributions. This contribution will be brought together as the Local Empowerment and Economic Development Strategy (LEEDS)."

He added that the 2022 budget was executed with over 80% success following the inputs made in the 2022 stakeholders meeting.

Some of the successes of the 2022 budget stakeholders forum include the construction of Adebanjo street, the drainage at the end of Koto-Irabor, the construction of Miccom street, as well as the ongoing construction of Santos Layout, Azeez Ayorinde street, Fakoya street, and so on which will be completed as soon as possible.

The construction of the secretariat building and Olohungbebe health centre, among others, are among the projects that will be delivered soon courtesy of the 2022 stakeholders’ forum.
