THE Executive Chairman of the Alimosho Local Government Area, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon, has commenced the construction of drainages as part of the means of controlling the perennial flooding that is bedevilling the Shasha-Ilupeju Community of the council area, specifically the Oluwatoyin Street, which houses the Olorungbebe Primary Health centre.
Information reaching Alimoshotoday states that the construction, which commenced about a week ago, will channel the flood to the nearest canal for subsequent transportation to a central point.
By the end of the construction, the newly built Primary Health Centre, which has been constructed in the area, will be put to effective use without any worries of flooding.
It would be recalled that the construction of the Olorungbebe Primary Health Centre was near completion, although the Council Chairman decided not to open it for use yet in order not to expose the users to the dangers of flooding.
