Hon Jelili Sulaimon attends the 7th Annual Stakeholders meeting

THE Executive Chairman, Alimosho Local Government Hon Jelili Sulaimon was at the 7th Stakeholders meeting of all constituents in Alimosho 1 organised by the Lagos state house Assembly through Hon Adebisi Yussuf at Private Ice Hall, Ipaja.

The meeting which was themed "Increasing wave of drug abuse: A threat to Nation building" discussed in detail the effects and control of drug abuse among teenagers and students in Lagos state. And considering its effects on our society, the Lagos State House of Assembly find it necessary to address it.

In her discussion, Dr Oluseyi Odewale of  NDLEA said "drug abuse has caused lots of societal degradation and a setback to the progress of the Nation. As a result, she concluded that drug abuse is definitely a threat to nation building.

In his contribution, the Executive Chairman Alimosho Local Government, Hon Jelili Sulaimon added that teachers can't be left to deal solely with the problems surrounding drug abuse and child care. All parents must take it as a point of duty to give the younger generation the best of training.

The programme was well attended by eminent personalities across the constituency including the commissioner for culture and tourism, Hon Uzamat Akinbile-Yusuf,  the Chairmen of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA and Ayobo-ipaja LCDA. 

Others include the Vice Chairmen of Alimosho LGA, Ayobo-ipaja LCDA, Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA and Mosan-Okunola LCDA. Also in attendance were the traditional leaders, Imams, CAN leaders and other important personalities.
