Egbeda: Curfew imposed as traditional rites begin for Oba-elect

A curfew has been imposed at Egbeda from 10:00p.m - 4:00am for seven days, starting Tuesday, August 11, 2020.

A  CURFEW has been imposed in Egbeda from 10:00 p.m - 4:00 am for seven days, starting from Tuesday, August 11, 2020.

Following the approval of the Oba-elect by the Lagos State government, the traditional rites are to begin immediately.

Family and friends of Egbeda residents have been reaching out via various social media platforms to share the news.

In response to this social media sharing, a Twitter follower posted, "but there has always been curfew from 10 pm to 4 am since lockdown na? Abi e no affect una Egbedans (Didn't it affect Egbeda residents)."

Hence, the curfew is not expected to pose much strain on Egbeda residents because there has been a national curfew in Nigeria, following the imposed lockdown to curtail the spread of Covid-19.
