Alimosho NULGE boss honours nine retirees at first-year anniversary (Photos)

The leadership of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employee (NULGE), Alimosho Local Government, recently honoured nine retirees and celebrated her first year anniversary in office.

The leadership of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employee (NULGE), Alimosho Local Government, recently honoured nine retirees while celebrating the her first year anniversary in office.

In his address, the Executive Chairman of Alimosho, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon said: "The history of Alimosho is not complete without the names of some of the retirees today. I want to commend and congratulate the NULGE chairman for putting this first-of-its-kind programme together."

He also promised the retirees special New Year gifts.

The Chairman of NULGE- Alimosho LG, Comrade Bldr. Rufaiyat Alejo, used the opportunity to roll out the various achievements of the administration which include the refurbishing of the NULGE bus and office, welfare package for widows and providing recreational games for staff among others.

Comrade Alejo challenged the staff to stay focused, saying,  "it is time to break the bad habit of expecting something for nothing from our government or from each other. Let us take responsibility, not only for ourselves and our families, but for our communities and our country."

The event witnessed the presence of Hon. Dare Ogunkoya, SLG Alimosho LG and NULGE chairmen of five other local governments, among others.
