The Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government Hon. Jelili Sulaimon and his team have empowered residents of the local government with grants worth N2.5 million.
This is part of the local council's quarterly business empowerment grants for youths, artisans and people living with disabilities among others.
Hon. Sulaimon advised the beneficiaries who received N50, 000 each for business support to use it solely for business enhancement. He said the grant can only perform its aim of poverty alleviation if it is properly channelled and monitored by the recipient.
The beneficiaries will also be monitored and advised on business growth.
