THE Executive Chairman, Alimosho Local Government Hon. Jelili Adewale Sulaimon has been declared the winner of the Local Government election held today, Saturday 24th July 2021 across Lagos state.
In his report, the returning officer of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) stated that "on behalf of LASIEC, after all the results have been collated across the polling units in Alimosho Local Government, I hereby declare that Hon Jelili Sulaimon of All Progressive Congress (APC) scored the highest vote of 6333 and consequently declared the winner of Alimosho Local Government election".
The first runner up in the election, the candidate of the People's Democracy Party (PDP) had 1446. Leaving a wide margin of 4887.
The result was declared in the presence of all party agents who participated in the election.
Also in attendance was the representative of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) who was also given a copy of the results.
It is worthy of note that the election went peacefully and successfully across the local government without a record of violence or any form of disturbance.
