IN continuation of the consultation activities for the success of the 2023 general elections in the Alimosho Federal Constituency, the Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government Area, Hon. Jelili Adewale Sulaimon has met with the leaders of the Community Development Committee (CDC) and the religious leaders of the council area.

According to information reaching Alimoshotoday, during the separate meeting, which took place at the Council Secretariat on Monday, November 28, 2022, the Council Boss liaised with the CDC Chairmen across the Alimosho Federal Constituency with the aim of ensuring a sustainable relationship that will yield a positive impact on everyone.

He then emphasised the need for the community leaders to give adequate attention towards ensuring the participation of the members of the Community Development Associations (CDAs) under their watch in the electioneering activities beginning with the collection of their Permanent Voter's Card (PVC).

In the second part of the meeting with the religious leaders comprising the Chairmen of the League of Imams and the Presidents of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the six LGA/LCDAs of Alimosho Federal Constituency, Jelili made it clear that, although the current local government administration in the Alimosho LGA might not have highly favoured the spiritual bodies, giving their support during the forthcoming 2023 general election will ensure that they vote in an all-inclusive government.

He then added that he has been appointed as the overall Chairman of religious leaders by the leadership of the Alimosho Federal Constituency. This, according to him, is to ensure a strong and solid link with all Council Chairmen in the Constituency with the hope of ensuring that the required attention is given to them.

He, thereafter, sought their prayer and support as the general election approached, with the promise that they will continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy.

In their collective reaction, the CDC leaders as well as the religious leaders promised to work in collaboration with the council Boss.
They then proposed that INEC officials should be enjoined to make the PVC collection seamless and hassle-free.
