THE Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPA) on Wednesday, October 7, launched an enforcement tour of structures in Ikotun-Egbe area of the Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Alimosho local council. Igando, Iba and LASU areas were also visited.
Nine filling stations and 11 other commercial structures have been sealed in Igando, LASU, and Ikotun axis, while 20 structures were served for contravention and seal-up notices executed at Shomolu, Bariga and Onipanu areas respectively.
LASPPPA headquarters gave a directive that owners of sealed buildings are being asked to obey the law and that they need to obtain planning permits.
A statement from the authority's headquarters says: "Obey the Law! Obtain Planning Permits for all Developments; As-Built, Renovation, Fencing and Demolition from Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority!"
According to the authority, 15 other structures were sealed up after the inspection of Cardoso Road, Unity Bus Stop and Baruwa after the gas explosion.
The buildings were said to have been sealed or given caution notices for building in contravention of Physical Planning Permit granted or outrightly developing without obtaining LASPPPA's permit.
