IN a bid to map out ways to better improve the Egbe-Idimu LCDA in the next fiscal year, the Executive Chairman of the council, Hon. Kunle Sanyaolu Olowoopejo (KSO) on Friday, December 15, 2023, presented the appropriation bill for the Year 2024 to the council Legislative arm.

In his speech during the presentation, KSO narrated that the financial statement, which had gone through scrutiny and due process in line with COFOG’s guidelines, focused on completing all ongoing projects before embarking on new ones.6989

Specifically, KSO disclosed that the proposed budget size of Two Billion, Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira only ( N2,750, 000.000), to a large extent, captured the capital projects followed by the personnel cost, as well as projected revenues for the next fiscal year.

“This Bill before your Honourable House was a product of a wide range of opinions, ideas, and due consultations as our intentions have always been tailored towards meeting the exact needs of the people,” the council Boss said.6990

He then appreciated all stakeholders present at the venue for the noble roles played by everyone in maximally achieving the last budget performance while admonishing them to further close ties with his administration in delivering a fair share of dividends of democracy to the people.

Responding, the Council leader, Hon. Abdul Lateef Abidemi Rufai, noted that swift attention and expected legislative work will commence on the Bill without delay.

Present at the occasion are the Executive Council members, the management team led by the Council-Manager, Mr Omotayo Shakirudeen, the APC Party Chairman, Alhaji Akibu Sàliu, and a host of other dignitaries.
