THE Mayor of the Egbe Idimu LCDA, Hon. Kunle Sanyaolu Olowoopejo (KSO), on Friday, July 14, 2023, joined others in the council area to perform the Year 2023 Tree Planting exercise at Pipeline Road, Idimu.
In his address, the Council helmsman expressed his administration’s commitment to the preservation of the environment and mitigation of global warming via tree planting. 
During the exercise, he encouraged the residents to embrace tree planting and shun the indiscriminate felling of trees.
He also explained that the earth does not belong to us but to posterity, and tree planting is an integral part of maintaining the earth. He further urged the residents to take care of the trees to preserve the lungs of the earth.
