AN entertainment tycoon, Mr Beth Egenti. has announced plans to organise 'Miss Alimosho beauty pageant'.
The pageant will be held in May during the official launch of Big BethTv, a Television production studio located at Idimu Road by Seliat bus stop, Alimosho.
Speaking with the press during its unveiling over the weekend, Egenti said Big BethTv is established to deliver quality movies' production, musical videos, event management, advert and jingles, post-production, documentaries and modelling.
While commenting on the beauty pageant, he said "Miss Alimosho is borne out of the fact that it is incumbent on me to give back to the society, my community which has given me so much."
"So, in May, be on the lookout for Miss Alimosho beauty pageant. This is about grooming young and intelligent ladies, who can communicate creatively with boldness. This is not your usual pageantry but one with class. It’s not just about beauty but brains."
When asked about the existing Miss Alimosho, Egenti said, "We are aware of one miss Alimosho but if you look at it critically, that has to do with fashion. It is called Miss Alimosho Fashion show while this is Miss Alimosho beauty pageant.
"We are not limiting our pageantry to Alimosho, we will prepare our winners for Miss Lagos and Miss Nigeria in that other. Our watchword is beauty and brains."
