A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the Alimosho Federal Constituency, Hon. Adesina Egbetokun, has congratulated the Oba-Elect of Idimu Kingdom, Prince Noah Olayiwola Akanni Surakat ILO 1.
Egbetokun sent the congratulatory message through a press statement signed by the Head of his media team, Elder Femi Ikugbayigbe, and made available to Journalists in Lagos on Monday, July 24, 2023.
In the press statement, Egbetokun wished Prince Surakat a successful installation and a blissful and prosperous reign.
"My brother, you deserve this position based on your positive impacts in the Idimu Community, Egbe-Idimu LCDA, Alimosho Federal Constituency, and Lagos State, at large. I pray your installation process goes successfully. Accept my warm congratulations, my brother," he said.
It should be noted that Surakat was chosen from the Onigbeyin Royal Family, Ikosi Compound, Idimu, among four contestants from four branches among the six branches of the Onigbeyin Ruling House.
According to a family member, who claimed anonymity, Prince Surakat was chosen through traditional oracle consultation, IFA and the majority of the Onigbeyin Royal Family members; both men, women, youth, and elders in the family supported his emergence as the next king of Idimu kingdom.
It was also gathered that the Onigbeyin Royal family is the next compound in Idimu to produce Oba of Idimu.
Prince Surakat is the current Secretary to Local Government (SLG), Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area, and a two-term Supervisor for Works and Housing, Egbe-Idimu LCDA, between 2008 and 2014.
