Egbe-Idimu Mayor celebrates Spelling Bee first runner-up

The Executive Chairman of Egbe Idimu LCDA, Hon. Kunle Sanyaolu Olowoopejo (KSO) in a congratulatory message felicitated with the first runner-up of the just concluded Lagos State Annual Spelling Bee that held at Ikeja recently.

The Director-General, Office of Education Quality Assurance, Mrs. Abiola Seriki-Ayeni had revealed during the competition that, “the primary school category winner and runners-up will be given cash prizes, while the winner of the secondary school category will become a one-day governor. Runners-up in the secondary school category will be given cash prizes in addition to an educational and cultural scholarship exchange programme to Finland.”

The first runner-up of the competition, Master Oyase David, is a pupil of Oore Ofe Primary School, Egbe and he was given a sum of N100,000.

In his congratulatory message, the Chairman said: "On behalf of the government and the good people of Egbe-Idimu LCDA, I felicitate with Master Oyase David of Oore Ofe Primary School, Egbe, who emerged as the 1st runner-up at the just concluded Lagos State Annual Spelling Bee competition that was held today at Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa-Ikeja.

"May this be a beginning of new things in our LCDA and songs of joy will never cease in our various homes."
