THE ongoing construction of Efonalaye Road, which connects Orisunbare Road in Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area on the left and Shasha Oguntade on the right, has reached completion stage, AlimoshoToday can confirm.
Two fortnights ago, the road was on the verge of completion and residents were musing whether the road would be completed in time or not. As at early this morning when AlimoshoToday visited the site, the road had been completed and the Chairman of the Efonalaye Landlords Association, Mr Ayanbisi Gabriel, confirmed the completion in a statement.
Mr Ayanbisis said: "We really thank God concerning the road. We appreciate the government also. I want to say this on behalf of all residents that the government has really tried, though it is yet to be opened for public use."
"If you observe the vehicles that are parked on the street, the owners could not come in through this major way by Orisunbare; they always have to turn round through Shasha Oguntade to get in," he added.
The completed roadHe also remarked that the road still has to be given some outstanding finishings which includes the painting of the sides of the gutters for beautification. The gutters would also need to be covered in order to prevent people from the disposing of refuse inside them.
