IN readiness for the upcoming West African School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), the proprietors of some schools visited in Alimosho are confident that the virtual classes have fully prepared the students for their exit examinations set to commence on August 17, 2020.
While speaking with AlimoshoToday, the school administrator of Silver Fountain College said: “Before the lockdown, we have almost completed our scheme. SS3 students completed their scheme in the second term and the third term is just for revision.
“During this period, their classes continued online. Any serious student should be ready. Bringing them to school is just to review what they have been taught online.”
The principal of Krisbethel College added: “There hasn’t been any gap because they have constantly been taught since March.”
In a conversation with AlimoshoToday, the proprietor of Doregos Private Academy said: “JSS3 and SS3 students almost had their schemes concluded even before the lockdown; it’s just been revision so far. What is being concentrated on are the practical aspects – Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Foods and Nutrition and Data Processing.
“In the theoretical aspect, a lot of work had been done already. We usually ensure we finish our syllabus before exams start and it was supposed to start in April.”
