STREET to School Initiative, in partnership with FarmAfrik.Org, UPS, TutoringTucson, and The FeedersFoundation, has organised HandCraftFiesta 2020 for children of Alimosho LGA, Lagos State.

Street to School Initiative supports the education programs of out-of-school children and primary school drop-outs through her annual education sponsorship scheme and establishment of tuition-free schools where children are provided with basic learning materials, and they also enjoy free meals.

The fiesta's objective was to teach children between 9-16 years of age in Alimosho LGA the specific skills they require to become more employable in the job market, now and in the future.

Some of the skills the children were taught include Home Gardening/Farming for Kids, Game of Chess/Monopoly, Financial Literacy, Biomass Conversion, Paint Craft, Paper Craft, Bottle Craft (Waste Management), Coding/Robotics and Loom Knitting.

According to the group, the agency "would be helping young people by empowering them to develop the knowledge and skills they need to improve their life prospects and have access to a better future.

"We aim to help young people to connect with the local market and be better equipped to find safe and suitable employment after graduation."
