THE Women and Girls Empowerment Foundation International (WOGEFI), a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) set up to provide empowerment for women and girls in Lagos State and beyond, has joined friends, well-wishers, and the University community to celebrate the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Lagos State University (LASU), Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, on her 60th birthday anniversary.
A goodwill message made available to LASUTODAY.com by the Founder of WOGEFI, Dr Olawunmi Oni-Buraimoh, on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, read: “Women, let's draw inspiration from the remarkable journey of Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, the Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University, as she celebrates her 60th birthday.
“Despite challenges along the way, she never wavered in her pursuit of excellence. Her resilience and determination propelled her to become a leader in academia, transforming institutions and impacting lives.

It is worth noting that Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello became the Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University in September 2021 after a glowing 35-year career as a Professor of Physiology.
