THE Lagos State Police Command has announced the arrest and arraignment of a 33-year-old man, identified as Akinyemi Akintayo, for assaulting police officers in December.
This was made known in a statement by the Lagos State Public Relations officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, on his X account, where he said, “After weeks on the run, Akinyemi Akintayo aged 39yrs of Ayobo has been arrested and arraigned for his serious assault on police officers on December 8, 2023.”
It was reported that the Lagos State Police Command had in 2020 charged a man who slapped a police officer in court.
