NDE trains 50, gives loans to 108 In Lagos

The National Directorate Electorate empowered over 150 Lagos residents through Agric Extension Services trainings and financial support.

THE Lagos State office of the National Directorate of Em­ployment (NDE) has concluded a training for 50 agricultural extension workers as at Tuesday, January 25, 2022 to contribute to the boost of food production in the state.

The NDE also shared loans to a significant 108 persons to help them build businesses. 

Mallam Abuba­kar Nuhu Fikpo, the Direc­tor-General of NDE, spoke on the occasion and said that agriculture is the soul of the economy with an ability to employ a huge percentage of the people sustainably.

Mallam Fikpo was represented by Mrs. Be­atrice Oruonyehu, a Deputy Director at the Abuja headquarters of the Directorate. 

The National Directorate of Employment is focusing on supporting agricultural extension and research to find out more about expanding the agricultural sector in order to increase employment avenues.
