THE Lagos State Government through the Lagos State Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA) in the Ministry of Education has announced that commencement of the mandatory registration, data update, and validation exercise for all approved, registered, and unregistered Nursery, Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form schools operating in the state.

This information was disclosed in a statement signed by the Director-General of OEQA, Mrs Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, who stated that the school registration and validation exercise for the year 2022 is important to ascertain schools that are still in operation across the State.

She reiterated that the OEQA is responsible for the standardisation, monitoring and regulation of all schools (Private and Public) below the tertiary level in Lagos, including the establishment and management of the database of all private schools in the State.

She disclosed that the online registration exercise had commenced on Friday, July 15, 2022, and will end on Friday, August 12, 2022, urging schools administrators to complete the form, update their data, upload a copy of their national identity cards and supply other basic information of current school managers and administrators.

“All schools below the tertiary level are required to visit the website of the Office of Education Quality of Assurance to access the form and download guidelines.

“The form can also be accessed by clicking the applicable link for approved schools and registered and unregistered schools,” she said.

Seriki-Ayeni also clarified that schools with multi-campuses must register each individually.
