THE Lagos State Government has acquired three more trains for its rail projects, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.

Governor Sanwo-Olu was at the flag-off ceremony of the construction of the Ojota to Opebi link bridge when he announced that Lagos had acquired three additional trains for its Blue Line project alongside the two Talgo high-speed trains for the Red Line rails.

Governor Sanwo-Olu assured that his administration recognizes the strategic importance of road infrastructure and will continue to improve such infrastructure for sustainable development.

The governor had promised at the beginning of the year that the metro rail system will start functioning in 2022.
