THE Federal Government of Nigeria, under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has announced the closure of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos for repairs from midnight on Saturday, October 21, to midnight on Sunday, October 22, 2023.
This was disclosed by the Federal Controller of Works in Lagos State, Mrs Olukorede Kesha, who stated that the closure is necessary to carry out palliative works on the most critically failed sections along the Adeniji bound carriageway.
Kesha said the government is working on plans to carry out comprehensive repairs on the bridge, but palliative works are necessary to alleviate the pains currently being experienced by motorists.
Recall that Motorists have decried the deplorable state of some portions of the bridge.
