THE Inspector-General of Police, Alkali Baba, on Friday, January 21, 2022, gave a directive for Commissioner of Police Abiodun Alabi to take over the Police Command in Lagos State from Hakeem Odumosu.
Former commissioner of police, Hakeem Odumosu, was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG). The Deputy Force Public Relations Officer (DFPRO), CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the directive on Friday.
Commissioner Abiodun Alabi was formerly commissioner of police, Bauchi State Command. The new commissioner is expected to assume duties at the Lagos Command, Ikeja, on Monday, January 24, 2022.
