The issue of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) was the first to be addressed, as the council received the Executive Director of the Women's Right and Health Project (WRAHP) and founder of IRETI Resource Centre, Bose Iro Nsi, who raised concerns about the frequent rape of young girls in Alimosho Local Government Area.

She raised the issue of a schoolgirl, Favour Okechukwu, who was gang-raped to death on the 30th of September in Ejigbo. Another 13-year-old girl was also raped at Egan in Igando.
