YAYI empowers 1,080 constituents, donates transformers to communities

Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as YAYI, (APC-Lagos West ) on Sunday hosted the 4th Edition of the Lagos West Senatorial District Town Hall Meeting, where he reeled out his achievements and also empowered his constituents.

He also called on his constituents to continue to abide by the prescribed measures against COVID-19 in order to be safe from the pandemic.

During the 4th Poverty Alleviation and Empowerment Programme, no fewer than 1,080 constituents benefitted from the empowerment programme.

 

The senator distributed 484 grinding machines, 330 sewing machines, 126 vulcanising machines, 28 tricycles, 28 deep freezers, 28 hand dryers and 28 clippers at the programme.

Adeola also distributed electricity transformers to communities across the 10 Local Government Areas in the constituency.

The senator said COViD-19 was not a myth but reality, urging his constituents and Nigerians in general to observe the prescribed protocols to stay alive.

“I call on my constituents, and Nigerians in general, to abide by COVID-19 protocols in order to be safe from the pandemic.

“What we have now is a passing phase, ig we all take the necessary precautions, we will surely be safe from the problem”, he said.

He said he organised the Poverty Alleviation Programme (PAP) to fulfil his campaign promise to empower the people of the constituency economically.

Adeola said all the beneficiaries had undergone training organised by him, and the provision of the various empowerment items was to support them to start their businesses.

The senator also said he distributed electricity transformers to communities across the constituency to assist in addressing power outage.

“The provision of electricity transformers is to help improve power supply in communities in the constituency.

“Some communities have been in darkness for about six months; we are providing these transformers so that they will help solve power challenges in some of these communities,” he declared.
