Win ₦20m as 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire' returns

The popular TV show ran from 2004 till 2017 under the sponsorship of Ultima Studios and MTN.

POPULAR TV show, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, will be returning to Nigerian television channels this year after an almost six-year-long break. Its host, Frank Edoho, has also been rehired to host the television game show.

The new season will offer an ultimate prize of N20 million to any contestant who manages to finish the game. A new lifeline option to "Ask the Host" will be added to the usual "50-50", "Call a Friend", and "Ask the Audience".

The organisers have revealed that the show, which is tagged 'The Rebirth', will run for 52 weeks.

The famous Frank Edoho hosted the game show from its first episode on October, 8th, 2004, till September 2nd, 2017.

The host has been praised by many for his spontaneous sense of humour, employment of suspense, and dynamic tone which was shaped to fit each scenario in the heat of the game.

Aroma Chimuanya notably won the ultimate N10 million prize in 2009 after going all the way to finish the game on a live television broadcast with Frank Edoho captivating the audience. Aroma remains the only contestant to win the grand prize on the show.

UP, a payment and financial technology company, in collaboration with BLK Hut Media, will sponsor and produce the new Who Wants to be a Millionaire show, under the license of Sony Pictures.
