THE Alimosho Chapter of the Take It Back Movement held a meeting in preparation and mobilisation towards the October 1 National Protest, yesterday.

Thereafter, they took to the community to sensitise people on the need for them to join the National Protest scheduled for October 1.

During the grassroots sensitisation in Alimosho, they paid a courtesy visit to the Asiwaju of Iyana Ipaja Kingdom, Chief Babatunde Karim Balogun, who implored the group to reawaken the "community sleeping youths."

Chief Balogun said: "Youths must be concerned about the development of their community, and from there the adults will lead them to the path of politics. Then, the youth can come together to clamour until they get their rights."

Recall that AlimoshoToday had reported sources claimed the sensitisation will lead to a protest demanding the following:

"Right to cost of living allowance for unemployed youths, the aged and physically challenged", " no to fuel price increase and electricity tariff", "end poverty and inequality" and "right to free, quality and compulsory education and healthcare" among others.
