THE Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Alimosho Constituency 01, Hon. Lukman Orelope, has given out food palliatives to the People living with disabilities (PWD) in the Alimosho LGA of Lagos State.

Orelope, who gave out food palliatives to the candidates undergoing training under the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, said: “The Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, is training hundreds of disabled individuals across Lagos State in three selected areas of Ikorodu, Mile 2 (Festac), and Egbeda (Alimosho) in various skills, including; shoemaking, barbing, phone repairing, and hairdressing, amongst others. 8707

“For me, this is a good development and an opportunity to be part of this exercise by way of supporting the beneficiaries with food items to cushion the effect of the current 'harsh' economy, which is a result of re-fixing of the system by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

"The situation we are currently in isn’t about bad policies from the current Government but the effect of not calling a spade-a-spade from the past successive administrations, hence, what we are going through as a nation and people. It is important at this period that all hands must be on deck. As a public officer, this is incumbent on me to be part of this laudable programme. The People Living with Disabilities (PWD) here are Lagos residents, which are not limited to the people of Alimosho Constituency 01. The effect of re-engineering our economy affected everyone, so,  this has to be inclusive."

While showing their appreciation, Prince Rotimi Adeniyi, the PWD Lagos State Chairman, said, "This is a surprising package from Hon. Lukman Orelope; we never saw this coming, nor did he tell us anything about it. May God almighty in His abundant blessings continue to bless you and guide your affairs. What you have done today is a testament that, it is indeed “Orelope” (Kindness is a good virtue); just keep it up, sir.

In attendance were Hon. Akinwale Ona-olapo (APC Vice Chairman, Alimosho Local Government), Hon. Oladipipo Yusuf (Pipo), and Hon. Monsuru Akerele (APC Ward C Chairman Okun Ola).
