NO BRA DAY 2022: Adebule lauds survivors of breast cancer

THE All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Lagos West Senatorial District, Dr (Mrs) Idiat Oluranti Adebule has joined millions of women in Nigeria and beyond to acknowledge the year 2022 No Bra Day; a day set to create awareness for breast cancer.

The APC candidate in a statement made available for publication by her Media Team on Thursday, October 13, 2022, said; “In the world of females, the month of October is recognized as a special month because it serves as the breast cancer awareness month of which October 13 is tagged "No Bra Day"

“Dear sisters, mothers, and aunties, it's important to perform necessary checks on our breasts as this will contribute to combating breast cancer in women. We might not have the power to fight breast cancer but we have the opportunity to prevent it through home testing and checkups from time to time.

“I implore all mothers to endeavour to educate our young girls on how to take good care of their breasts, the right bra to use and how to use them.

“Our hearts are with women who have been victims of breast cancer and the survivors; you are real heroines and warriors.

“Together, through necessary measures and precautions, we can combat breast cancer in women.

“Let us remember that No Women, No Nation. Hence, proper attention should be paid to diseases like breast cancer.”
