NIGERIA @62: Alimosho House of Reps flagbearer calls for unity

THE All Progressives Congress (APC) party House of Representatives candidate for the Alimosho Federal Constituency, Hon. (Barr) Ganiyu Adele Ayuba (Mayor KK) has congratulated Nigerians and the Federal Government on the celebration of the country's 62 years Independence Day anniversary.

In his Independence Day message on Saturday, October 1, 2022, the House of Reps hopeful reiterated that the nostalgia feelings of the past call for a united nation, emphasizing that no nation prospers in disunity.

In his words; "I delightfully felicitate with Nigerians; the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari; Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide OLusola Sanwo-Olu; the leader of our dear political party, APC and its Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; the Alimosho APC leadership; and the constituents on the occasion of the country's 62nd independence day anniversary.

“As we celebrate our nation's independence, let's remember our leaders who gave their lives in the battle for the freedom we enjoy today. Let's do everything we can positively do for our dear nation to make it a place of wealth, peace, and happiness for all."

He then lamented the high level of insecurity in the nation as he called for a concerted effort to win the war against banditry, kidnapping, and the raging Boko Haram insurgents.

"Those beating the drum of disintegration of the country should have a rethink and start drumming a united Nigeria drum for the betterment of all. We implore the Federal Government to take decisive action against kidnapping, banditry, and the Boko Haram terrorists and fight them to a standstill.

"We must not allow these criminal elements to take centre stage in our country. They have wrecked a lot of havoc on our economy and standard of living," he stated.

Ayuba said in the midst of the country's challenges, Nigerians must remain united.

"It is true that our nation is going through myriads of challenges vis-a-vis insecurity and the economy. We must remain committed and work along with the government at all levels to return peace and harmony to the nation," he affirmed.
