A former aspirant, House of Representative, Alimosho Federal Constituency, Ambassador Kaokab Ibraheem Aroworatira has congratulated Nigerians and the Federal Government on the celebration of the country's 62 years Independence Day anniversary, adding that the independence day celebration is a day to celebrate the success of the country and reflect on the outstanding work needed in the country.

The Alimosho APC political stalwart, in his Independence Day message on Saturday, October 1, 2022, said; “On this occasion, we should introspect about the outstanding work needed in the country.

“We would truly achieve independence when as a country, poverty, illiteracy, hunger, and backwardness is eradicated. This can be achieved when we learn from our failures and build on our successes.

“We cannot dwell on the conditions that prevail outside our country, but ensure all effort leads to resolution of the issues within the country; this will enable accelerated economic growth and job creation with varieties of employment opportunities in the country.

“Furthermore, during this process, we must ensure that inflation remains under control so we can have a conducive environment within the country for rapid economic growth.

“I believe that we have not been able to achieve success for the country because there is a lack of political consensus on many issues. The time has now come to view the issues which affect our development processes as matters of national security.

“Our children are the biggest strength and future of our country. If our children are provided with good health and education then our future would be bright. This is the reason why we have to pay special attention to the needs of children in our policies and programmes.

“I believe that no power in the world can stop our country from achieving new heights of progress and development. What is needed is for us to work together as one, for the success of our country.

“Let us continue to work for a progressive, modern, and prosperous Nigeria. I am proud to be part of this great nation.

“Let’s make history together.”
