THE Executive Chairman of Alimosho LGA, Hon. Jelili Adewale Sulaimon has urged the residents of Alimosho to shun acts of self-criticism, adding that they should endeavour to keep calm in difficult situations.

In a soul-lifting message signed by the council mayor and addressed to the residents of Alimosho on Monday, March 28, 2022, he said; “I know what it feels like to be pursuing success since the start of the year and at the end of a third month, it still doesn't seem clear.

“Many people, however, usually get it wrong by allowing many thoughts that culminate into self-criticism set in, they begin to criticize their work condition, they criticize the pay, they criticize their bosses, they criticize their business, they, in the end, criticize themselves.

“What has your self-criticism done? If anything, more damage.

“Recall very well that you did the same thing last year; the year before; the one before and so on!

“According to Louise L Hay, “Remember, you have been criticizing yourself for years and it hasn’t worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens.”

“Approve yourself by learning more in order to be able to do more. Find joy in your daily activities because when you are happy doing what you are doing, you get closer to your success.

“Remember that you still have over 9 months to end the year. So, be calm, your success is just here.”

Jelili also wished his constituents a happy new week while congratulating them for witnessing the end of the month.
