Two students of Theatre Arts at the Lagos State University, Akande Adetoun and Babatunde Lawal, will be featuring in a new story-series titled "Agatha."

Agatha is an entertaining and engaging weekly series that will run for 20 weeks on the AlimoshoToday news website.

The series "Agatha" revolves around a beautiful career woman named Agatha, who brought in a beautiful housemaid to help her run her home while she submitted herself to her high-profile banking career.

Agatha is torn apart by the possibility of her husband, Eddy sleeping with her housemaid - a dazzling, sexy and young Calabar girl named Ebong.

This series will also feature an embedded hilarious video drama of a couple, Honourable Bankole and Mrs Bankole who will get viewers falling about laughing in the 20 weeks of its run.

Babatunde Lawal, who has featured in The Pickup (a short film) and Mammy Water's Wedding (a stage play) will be playing the role of Honourable Bankole.

On how he feels being a major cast, Honourable Bankole, in the Agatha series, he said: "Every opportunity to showcase what I've got comes with great pleasure and joy. The fact, that this opportunity came causal to a referral from a play I performed in is another reason to be happy. At least, it means someone, somewhere is watching and interested in what I do. It means I am not doing badly.

"Playing the role, Hon. Bankole, in the Agatha series comes with great honour for me. I am excited and delighted and, as a writer myself, I enjoy the script.

"Meanwhile, I look forward to enacting and re-enacting the roles. I look forward to living the character and of course making people laugh while getting educated.

"Every new role is a chance to grow, to explore the psychology of another man. This is growth, I am excited, I am hyped."

Akande Adetoun Christiana, who also featured in Mammy Water's Wedding, and is playing the role of Mrs Bankole said: "It is exciting that I get to play a major role. Though minor roles are not irrelevant, in fact, it is the most tasking to play because such characters have limited space and time to impress their character on the audience. Nonetheless, playing a major role puts me in a position that challenges my skills and art as an actor. I love challenges as they're catalyst for growth. I'll get to learn new things and maximize my skills. I also love the fact that the story mirrors the society and I get to project societal issues through my character."
