Kehinde Joseph hails Buhari, Aregbesola's commitment towards advancement, expansion of passport administration

THE Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Alimosho Constituency II, Hon. Kehinde Olaide Joseph has commended President Muhammadu Buhari on his commitment towards the advancement and expansion of passport administration in the last seven and half years of his administration, expressing that the benefits and strategy have greatly impacted and eased the ever-increasing pressure on the existing Control Offices.

The State Lawmaker noted that with the digitalised and enhanced e-passport, applicants no longer need the services of third parties to obtain passports.

Kehinde Joseph, who spoke after the official launching of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Front Desk Office in Alimosho, Lagos State, on Monday, January 30, 2023, noted that the country's efforts in boosting and expanding the Passport Issuance Operations to bridge the shortage gap the citizens face in urban centres like Lagos are the right step towards improving the Nigerian brand across the world.

The Chairman of the House Committee on Agriculture stressed that the Federal Government has made concerted efforts in encouraging digitalization and enhanced e-passports by improving and increasing the capacity of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) to cope with the high demand for Passports, in spite of the challenges facing the agency.

While acknowledging that the world has moved toward the path of innovation and digitalization, Kehinde Joseph also commended the Minister for Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola for his transformational leadership and successes recorded by his office, while making sure that the ministry progresses in the fulfilment of its mandate.

He lauded the efforts of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), declaring that the State will continue to support the service in performing its statutory duty.
