THE Executive Chairman of Alimosho LGA, Hon. Jelili Adewale Sulaimon has celebrated with the residents of Alimosho as they commemorate Nigeria’s democracy day.
The council mayor, in his felicitation message, said; “The story of today's democracy celebration is connected to the struggle and resilience of our true heroes who fought with their all to make democracy a reality; most significant of them is MKO Abiola who fought till his end.
“Their struggle seems unrewarding back then. But today, we are remembering them for standing by the truth and progress of humanity.
“Dear Alimosho, the best way to celebrate a day like this is to truly imbibe the resilience and relentlessness of our heroes so that great things can be said of us tomorrow.
“We shall forever celebrate our true heroes of yesterday like Awolowo, MKO Abiola etc and those of today like Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Happy Democracy Day!”
