How we can reform our infrastructure in Alimosho —K. K. Aroworatira

The infrastructure development we need will come with the right representation of federal presence in Alimosho.

ALIMOSHO must be acquainted with Ambassador Kaokab Ibraheem Aroworatira by now. The posters are out and more people are getting aware of K. K. Aroworatira's intention to represent Alimosho Constituency at the National Assembly.

Infrastructural development is slow-paced and we need to do more to build infrastructure that works for our people. K. K. believes the right federal presence can help fast track Alimosho's urbanization and infrastructure plans.

Ambassador Kaokab, as a member of an arm of the federal government, will easily partner with the State Government and the World Bank Community Development Initiatives to construct and fix major roads within our communities. Potholes on main roads should not be Alimosho's current reality.

Kaokab also sees the surprising power challenges of some communities within the Alimosho Constituency. It is in K. K. Aroworatira's plans to synergise with the Power Authorities and advocate for the electrification of these communities that are currently off-grid. No community deserves to be left behind on a basic amenity such as electricity.

The power problem can also be mitigated with the introduction and support of green energy such a solar energy. K. K. does not see why Alimosho Constituency cannot secure solar-powered mobile charging stations across communities with poor electricity penetration. These stations will be a mainstay in Alimosho Constituency when Kaokab is trusted to empower his constituency as its representative.

Alimosho currently needs more government funded skill acquisition centres across the Constituency to train our youth to become employable. The nationwide unemployment challenge can be resolved from the grassroots, K. K. Aroworatira strongly believes this. Kaokab wants the population of Alimosho Constituency to usher in a new reality of gainful employment which other federal constituencies will be proud to emulate. After all, one of the ways to empower and employ young men and women is to provide the right resources to work with.

Ambassador Kaokab also wants to ensure that Ecological Funds are allocated from the government to fix the erosion menace in our constituency. We also need to arrest the recurrent flooding plaguing some of our communities annually. The drainage systems are not working and, although they are primarily the responsibility of the state government, Kaokab wants to work with the state government to make this defective drainage system work.

The whole point is this: it is high time Alimosho got a representative who is truly worried and concerned about the challenges of his own constituency. Kaokab wants to make Alimosho the pride of other federal constituencies. We think his intentions make sense.
