AS 2023 gets set to depart and be part of history, we in Alimosho should take time to assess our situation all through the year. Nothing much to show for it and this is my very opinion.
2023 emerged and it looked promising, but how much miles of development did we record in the year? There are six LCDAs in Alimosho. The six are led by the elected who expectedly have a manifesto to implement for the development of their region. But we should ask; how well was the manifesto put into action by our leaders? And was there a manifesto dropped on the table in the first place?
Mosan Okunola LCDA
Mosan Okunola LCDA, led by Princess Adebisi Osibajo, perhaps didn't present a developmental template on ground, considering that the LCDA is far behind in anything worth flaunting as developmental merits. I do not talk about the new blocks of offices under construction in the secretariat, instead I refer to infrastructural projects that bless our souls and that make the people want to say a prayer for their leader.
Mosan Okunola LCDA
Mosan Okunola has the highest number of residential estates of all and the Jakande Estate at Gate is a good point of reference; despite this blessings, the local government relish in bad roads, garnished with waste dumpings and the LCDA has done nothing about it till now. So we demand; was there not a manifesto? If there was, where is it?
My point is this: we as the people of Alimosho need to question the deliveries of our leaders. If we don't, the seeds of community growth and development may not germinate. Alimosho, Ayobo-Ipaja, Igando-Ikotun, Egbe-Idimu, and Agbado-Okeodo leaders are not left out; nothing really to show this year in the area of developmental merits as well. Only God knows what 2024 would promise.
