ALIMOSHO Football Coaches Council has concluded plans to organise the second edition of the Alimosho Football  Coaches Council League.

The league will kick off among the 12 affiliated football clubs in Lagos next month.

The participating clubs are Future Stars FC, Sammy FC, Kedge Sports, Flying Wings, Newtown FC and Peculiar FC. Others are Salam FC, Samjason FC, NISSI Sports, IBMA, Tailgate FC and IGU FC.

According to the Chairman, Organising Committee, Samuel Uchenna Eke, the league is aimed at keeping the clubs busy and also discover some talents that may be recommended to professional clubs and possibly get them offers outside Nigeria.

He said the league would really help club owners and coaching crews to assess their players, after staying idle for almost seven months, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are organising the second edition of Alimosho League with the hope that we would get some hidden talents that the committee may recommend to clubs in the Nigerian Professional League. Secondly, the league would make some of the clubs that are idle busy, especially when we are coming out of lockdown.

“I think it is a good step in the right direction and all the participating clubs are affiliated with their divisions. It is going to be a tough league in Lagos because all the participating clubs have football pedigree,” he said.
